Thais particularly from Isan (north-east Thailand) love to eat bugs, including cockroaches, fly soup, ants, worms and other nasty stuff. They normally buy them from food carts by the side of the road as you can see in this video. They are usually deep fried. They are often eaten as a snack, whereas western people might buy a kebab or a burger as I late night snack on a drunken night out, Thais love to eat bugs. |
